HANDS ON THE WHEEL, EYES ON THE ROAD
Drivers need to be focused on the road, alert for pedestrians, cyclists and vulnerable road users. The New Generation XD design embraces DAF’s ‘hands on the wheel, eyes on the road’ philosophy. Driver’s primary functions are controlled from the steering wheel or column stalks. For example, the TraXon gearbox controls, digital display, audio system and phone, everything is at the driver’s fingertips. Secondary functions are operated via ergonomically designed and conveniently placed dashboard switches.
SMART SAFETY TECHNOLOGIES:
The XD’s many active safety features include, warning on screen in blind corner, Brake Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Emergency Brake Lights and DAF Turn Assist. Plus new additions like DAF Electronic Park Brake for smart control, a Low-Speed Trailer Brake for safe coupling and uncoupling, and Park Brake Assist for enhanced braking power when needed.

It features an attractive, central 12” display for all vehicle-related information and an optional 10.1” touch screen for the DAF Navigation and Infotainment System. Dashboard storage
The New Generation DAF XD provides ample storage space. The center part of the dashboard holds large storage, both on top of it as well as underneath, where an open compartment with two integrated cup holders for mugs and drinking bottles is located.
Retractable dashboard table
Drivers who want to update their administration – or enjoy a meal – benefit from the large, practical retractable dashboard table. This table is standard on DAF’s long haul vehicles for decades and now available as an option in the New Generation XD Day Cab, Sleeper and Sleeper High Cab.
Climate control
A pleasant interior climate is instrumental to class-leading driver comfort. DAF applies an intelligent climate system as standard. The system keeps the set, comfortable temperature in the cab for up to an hour by using the residual heat of the engine coolant. This is not only comfortable and very useful during short stops, it also boosts efficiency as there is no need to "fire up" the climate system after each stop.

The dashboard holds USB sockets for easily connecting phones and other accessories.
Unique adjustment range
The driver seat offers 250mm of fore-aft adjustment and 145 mm of height adjustment, well beyond segment standards. The steering wheel adjusts from 6° to 55°, remaining comfortable regardless of seat position, while the stowaway function makes cab entry and exit easier. With ample legroom, every driver can achieve an ideal position for maximum driving comfort.

The DAF XD driveline helps to lower operating costs with a highly fuel-efficient MX-11 PACCAR engine, available in 340hp and 450hp to suit your operational needs. It also features enhanced electronics, an optimised ZF TraXon or Allison automatic gearbox and PACCAR high-efficiency rear axles. Plus, it delivers higher torque at lower revs resulting in improved fuel efficiency over a wide range of applications.
